We all know what the wilderness is like. Dry, dry, dry.
No sustaining water, no life giving food. Nothing.
The wilderness is a place of nothingness.
As Christians we all enter that wilderness at one time in our walk
with God. Some embrace it, usally the more mature Christian. While
others fear it, but now it is coming. Some loose their faith in the wilderness,
while others gain more faith.
I have personally entered and exited that wilderness. Sometimes
victoriously and sometimes in totally defeat.
But I know there is a holy reason why we go through that wilderness
it is so that God can mold us, change us, restore us, and bring us
closer into his fellowship. And the wilderness is not to be feared but embraced.
And when we go through it, even though it is extremely hard, we chose what we
want out of it.
Personally, speaking of someone who is entering into a wilderness spell
I look forward to it. All the temptations, all the feelings of lonelyness,
because I know that I will grow in my faith. I will grow closer to God,
and He will embrace me on the other side.
So, if you are entering, or are already in a wilderness time, look unto your Lord and Savior.
He is your life giving water, and your sustaining food. He is your everything
and remember when you think He has left, just now that He is carring you
through.
